London for Ravers: The Ultimate Clubbing Destinations

We're starting our tour at the Printworks, situated in an old printing house. This massive venue that can welcome up to 5,000 partygoers has hosted A-listers like deadmau5, Paul van Dyk, and Solomun. Ready for a daytime party? The gigs can start at midday and end at 11pm, giving you enough time to continue your path through the clubbing lanes of London. On Fridays, it typically opens at 7pm and closes at 2am, and the tickets will cost you around £20–40.

Across the river Thames is the E1 – a club that earned its spot on the go-to list with a 27-hour opening party on New Year’s Eve. Brace yourself for one of the best sound systems in the world, dubbed 'the Wall of Sound'. Techno classics like Sven Väth and Chris Liebing, as well as the new generation of stars like Ellen Allien and Rebekah, have played here. The admission fees ranging from £10 to £20. 

At this point, you should probably rest a bit, get some sleep, and take some vitamins – the road is long. Our next stop is XOYO, a smaller venue that can sell up to 800 tickets. You'll have to pay £8–25 for admission, though midweek events are around £5. The club is open until 3am from Monday to Thursday and until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. No need to put your fancy dress on – that's acceptable only during Halloween. On other days, you might not get past the bouncers, so best to just be your casual self. Artists like Maya Jane Coles, Gryffin, Claude VonStroke, and Jackmaster have already taken to the stage at this one.

Parties in London usually last well into the next day. Clubs rarely close before 6am.

Tired? No? There's more. The next venue is the legendary Fabric. Room One – one of three halls – has 450 bass frequency transmitters that deliver a unique sound experience. Gigs range from house DJs (Craig Richards and Terry Francis) to guests like Adam Beyer and Ben Klock. Ticket prices vary around £10–23, while on Sundays they drop to £8–10. Here you can party until the early morning. Don't worry about a dress code, but make sure you don't look like you're going to prom, a business meeting or to support your favorite sports team. Also, stay away from Day-Glo paint. 

Let's take the party further north. Arguably we've saved the best for last – the famous EGG in a Victorian warehouse in Kings Cross.If you want to party after 3am on the weekend, EGG is a great choice. Alison Wonderland, UMEK, Felix Jaehn, and Mark Knight are among the artists who have performed here. While a lot of iconic clubs closed in the last decade, EGG has stood firm and become one of the greatest in the world. To enter the club, you must be 19 or older, and there's no particular dress code. It's a smart move to get on a guest list – otherwise, you could be waiting in line for around 30 minutes or more.
