Stagajah

Stagajah Band - A Quartet from Papua New Guinea. The group was formed by Statz (Music Producer), Gaix (Song Writer/Rapper) and Jay Ray (Singer) and later welcomed on board Stonky (Singer/Song Writer).

Following the formation of the group in mid 2014, Stagajah Band went on to claim the Newest 'Group of the Year' and 'Listener's Choice Group of the Year' awards at the annual Yumi FM PNG Music Awards in 2015. They were also awarded the 'Listener's Choice Group of the Year' award in 2016, then came back strong in 2017 to claim 3 awards; 'Listener's Choice Group of the Year', 'Group of the Year' and 'Studio Label of the Year' awards. Stagajah went on to claim the Yumi FM PNG Music Awards 'Best Duo/Group Of the Year' Awards in 2019 and 2020 respectively. They recently took out the 2021 'Best Duo or Group of the Year' and 'Song of the Year Award'.

Their unique music arrangements blending PNG's original local melodies together with modern genres have kept this group a household name in the recent years. Adapting to today's trends however keeping the PNG local flavors.

Stagajah Band has also worked alongside some PNG's and Pacific's top artists the recent been Sean Rii from the Solomon Islands with the new track titled: Senatni Cinta

Some of their Hit songs include, Go Back, Raona'Au, Yu Nau & Hategu (ft Dr Wiz) recorded under GL Productions, Woko Sile (with Tonton Malele) and their recent release titled Red Flags.
