Over the years, the Amersfoort World Jazz Festival in the Netherlands has included some amazing musicians. Among the top performers in recent festivals were Typhoon, Koh Mr. Saxman, Jef Neve, Eric Vloeimans, Lucas Figueiredo Santana, Fay Claassen, Francesco Buzzurro, Claudio Jr de Rosa, Jainda, and John Engels.
Typhoon demonstrated his extraordinary abilities as a poet and performer by bringing his own fusion of hip-hop and jazz to the festival. Koh Mr. Saxman's lyrical saxophone performance as well as Jef Neve's piano prowess astounded the audience. A festival standout was Eric Vloeimans' trumpet playing, while Lucas Figueiredo Santana's drumming gave the concerts a potent rhythmic edge.
The outstanding vocals of Fay Claassen stood out, and Francesco Buzzurro's guitar work added a lovely melodic dimension.
