The Cornwall Folk Festival, which features some of the top folk and country musicians from around the world, has long been a highlight of the UK music calendar. The event will return to Wadebridge, a stunning coastal village, from June 15–17, 2023. Here are some of the more memorable performers from recent iterations of the event, which has hosted an incredible roster of headlining bands throughout the years.
Gretchen Peters, a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter noted for her moving storytelling, has been one of the festival's standout performances. Other famous headliners have included Eddi Reader, the former lead vocalist of Fairground Attraction who has gone on to become a well-known solo musician, and Dougie MacLean, the Scottish folk icon who wrote the timeless song "Caledonia."
The Unthanks, an English folk group famed for their eerie harmonies, and Seth Lakeman, a violin player from Devon who fuses traditional folk with modern influences, are two more prominent performers who have performed on the stage of the Cornwall Folk Festival. Our Atlantic Roots, Kitty Macfarlane, Flats & Sharps, O'Hooley & Tidow, Sam Kelly & The Lost Boys, and Our Atlantic Roots are just a few of the outstanding musicians who have delighted crowds at this cherished festival.
