The French Ferte Jazz Festival has long been a fantastic venue for showcasing some of the world's most gifted performers. This year's festival was no different from previous years when some of the biggest names in music were there. The Israeli singer-songwriter Asaf Avidan, who is renowned for his distinctive voice and exquisite lyrics, gave an outstanding performance that awed the audience. Ben L'Oncle Soul, a French soul singer renowned for his strong voice and upbeat performances, joined him.
Selah Sue, a Belgian singer-songwriter renowned for her lovely voice and sentimental lyrics, was another festival favorite. She was followed by French singer-songwriter Veronique Sanson, a mainstay of the country's music scene for more than 40 years. Her performance was a lesson in musicality and stage presence.
Ayo, the German-Nigerian singer-songwriter known for her soulful voice and inspirational lyrics, Charlie Winston, the British singer-songwriter known for his heartfelt ballads and upbeat anthems, Kimberose, the French soul band that is making waves, and Kassav', the legendary French Caribbean band that has been making music for more than four decades, were among the other performers who graced the stage.
