One of Brazil's most eagerly awaited metal music festivals, Festival Abril Pro Rock, did not dissapoint with its most recent iteration. The festival drew metalheads from across the nation to celebrate their love of heavy music with a roster that featured some of the biggest names in the genre.
The Finnish band Amorphis, who brought their distinct brand of melodic death metal to the stage, and the Portuguese band Moonspell both put on outstanding performances. Other noteworthy acts included the fascinating Letrux, the political punk rockers Pussy Riot, and the Brazilian death metal outfit CRYPTA.
The festival also featured some of the top Brazilian metal bands, like Ratos De Porao, Nervosa, and Edu Falaschi. A wide variety of subgenres, including thrash and death metal, black metal, and others, were presented to the audience. The festival showcased all things loud, heavy, and unapologetic with headliners like Nuclear Assault and Immolation.
