French singer-songwriter Gauvain Sers enthralled the crowd with his poignant songs and acoustic guitar. Popular French rock band Soldat Louis got the crowd dancing and singing along to their melodies. Mes Souliers Sont Rouges, meantime, gave a performance that was incredibly energetic by fusing traditional French folk music with contemporary pop.
Moonlight Benjamin, whose deep voice and Afro-Caribbean rhythms had the crowd moving, and Inetnon Gefpa'go, a Guam-based band that brought a distinctive fusion of Pacific Island music and reggae to the event, were among the other prominent performers. The Festival de Confolens demonstrated that it was a celebration of music and culture from all over the world with such a wide variety of musicians.
