Some of the world's most exciting rock music acts performed at the Havana World Music Festival. The famed Cuban rap group Orishas was one of the festival's standout performers, and their upbeat performance was a highlight. Francisco el Hombre was a noteworthy performer as well; his fusion of Latin rock and Brazilian rhythms got everyone up and moving.
Carlos Varela, who brought his own fusion of Cuban rock and folk music to the stage, and Ozomatli, whose contagious blend of Latin, funk, and hip-hop had the audience pumping their fists in the air, were two other memorable performers. Haydee Milanes, a singer-songwriter, gave a heartfelt and private performance, and Ojos de Brujo performed flamenco fusion in their distinctive style.
With their varied and exciting performances, Brenda Navarrete, Wesli, Swing Original Monks, and Lengualerta also left an impression. The Havana World Music Festival featured the best of the international music landscape, from rock to rap to folk. The festival's dedication to exhibiting a variety of cutting-edge artists made for an absolutely unique experience for everyone who went.
