With their tight rhythms and deep melodies, Snarky Puppy wowed the crowd at the festival with their distinctive funk and jazz fusion style. With his complicated rhythms and powerful intensity, Zakir Hussain demonstrated his extraordinary tabla talents and transported the audience to India. One of his generation's most significant bassists, Avishai Cohen, enthralled the crowd with his brilliant playing and moving compositions.
All in attendance were awed by Julian Lage's virtuoso guitar playing, which complemented the Portico Quartet's singular fusion of jazz, electronica, and ambient music to create a spellbinding environment. A fascinating and enthralling performance was produced by Dhafer Youssef's combination of traditional Middle Eastern music with jazz and world music. Anouar Brahem, who is renowned for his oud skill, mesmerized listeners with his beautiful compositions and expressive playing.
The remaining outstanding acts, Dave Holland, Nubya Garcia, and Mammal Hands, each brought their own special sound and enthusiasm to the festival. The Jazz Festival Ljubljana from Slovenia is still one of the best jazz festivals in the world with such a stellar lineup of musicians.
