In Canada, the Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival had a fantastic roster of gifted musicians. The best performers included Jill Barber, The Dip, Ocie Elliott, The Dead South, The Paper Kites, Valerie June, Too Many Zooz, Nahko & Medicine for the People, and Valerie June.
The audience was up dancing all night to Khruangbin's trippy funk and soulful sounds. The Paper Kites wowed the audience with their indie-folk sound, while The Dead South brought their distinctive fusion of bluegrass and rock to the stage. The audience was enthralled by Ocie Elliott's calming vocals and acoustic guitar, and Shakey Graves' bluesy Americana feel had everyone bobbing their heads to the music.
An memorable festival experience was made possible by Valerie June's soulful voice and eclectic mix of genres, Too Many Zooz's brass-heavy dance sounds, Nahko and Medicine for the People's socially conscious lyrics, Jill Barber's jazzy style, and The Dip's funk-infused rhythms. The Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival presented an astounding array of talent overall, leaving audience members with lifelong musical memories.
