The most recent edition of the Kaustinen Folk Music Festival, which takes place every year in the Finnish village of Kaustinen, had an excellent lineup of headlining artists. The event attracted a sizable audience from all across the country with its eclectic mix of pop, folk, and world music performances. Vesala, Suvi Terasniska, Vesterinen Yhtyeineen, Ellinoora, Samuli Edelmann, Talisk, Mari Boine, Arppa, Egotrippi, and Ida Paul were among the best performers.
Vesala, a Finnish singer-songwriter, took the stage on the first night of the festival to perform her emotive lyrics and powerful vocals. Suvi Terasniska, who is well known for her upbeat performances and catchy pop songs, also dazzled the audience with her melancholy ballads. Popular Finnish band Vesterinen Yhtyeineen put on a dynamic performance with their fusion of rock, folk, and electronic music.
Samuli Edelmann's heartfelt ballads, Ellinoora's thrilling performance, and the Scottish duo Talisk's vivacious set of traditional songs and unique compositions were some of the festival's other highlights. With her hauntingly beautiful voice and combination of traditional and contemporary sounds, the renowned Mari Boine, a Sami musician from Norway, mesmerized the crowd. Both the Finnish rock band Egotrippi and folk singer Arppa gave outstanding performances.
