Some of the most recognizable names in R&B music were present at the previous OC Funk Fest. The Whispers, Zapp, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Rose Royce, Midnight Star, Tuxedo, Slave, Joe Bataan, Grandmaster Melle Mel, and O'Bryan were a few of the best performers.
Every performer at the festival, which honored vintage funk and soul music, brought something special to the stage. There was music for everyone, from The Whispers' mellow harmonies to Zapp's funkier sounds. Evelyn "Champagne" King and Rose Royce added a bit of glitz to the occasion, and Midnight Star and Tuxedo's contagious rhythms got the crowd moving.
Old-school hip hop was infused into the festival by Slave and Grandmaster Melle Mel, while Joe Bataan and O'Bryan displayed their tremendous vocal prowess. The OC Funk Fest was a big success because of the incredible lineup of performers.
The OC Funk Fest, in its entirety, was a celebration of some of the best R&B songs ever recorded, and it is evident that these musicians continue to inspire and enthrall listeners around the globe.
