With his upbeat performance and infectious tunes, Imran Khan, the Dutch-Pakistani singer best known for his hit song "Amplifier," was a favorite with the audience. The audience was moving to the beats of The Naked DJ, who is renowned for his distinctive fusion of electronic and African music.
The Tetseo Sisters, an all-female quintet from Nagaland, performed at the event with their folk-influenced songs, and Dhruv Visvanath captivated the audience with his incredible guitar playing. The Barmer Boys performed their distinctive Rajasthani folk music on stage, and Swadesi, a rap group from Mumbai, offered potent lyrics addressing societal themes. The fusion band Bawari Basanti, which combines classical and modern music, charmed the audience with their distinctive sound.
Delhi-based duet Shadow and Light, famed for their ethereal melodies, gave a stirring performance, and Delhi 2 Dublin contributed their distinctive fusion of Bhangra and Celtic music to the festival. The festival's final act, Daira, a band from Mumbai that combines Indian classical music with Western rock, brought the house down. The 2023 Ragasthan Hip Hop music festival included a wide lineup of brilliant performers who exemplified the finest of Indian music, making it a wonderful event all around.
