An amazing collection of musicians performed at the Taragalte Blues Festival, which takes place every year in the Moroccan desert. Top performances included Oum, a gifted singer-songwriter with an entrancing voice, and Tinariwen, noted for their singular fusion of Saharan blues and rock music. While TARWA N-TINIRI enthralled the crowd with their traditional Tuareg music, Kader Tarhanine displayed his explosive guitar abilities.
Aziz Sahmaoui, who fused jazz, funk, and North African rhythms to produce a unique performance, was another highlight. Young Saharan musicians Daraa Tribes also made an impression with their passionate and vivacious performance. And American blues musician and singer Vasti Jackson gave the gathering an international touch.
The Taragalte Blues Festival honors the diverse musical heritage of the Sahara region, and the lineup for this year did not dissapoint. The festival included a wide variety of talent, from the melancholy tunes of Tinariwen to the deep vocals of Oum. Everyone who came had a wonderful time thanks to the music, venue, and atmosphere.
